Electricians Abroad?

Not sure what thread to put this in so I went for this and if it's wrong i'm sure it'll be moved to the appropriate thread...

Just wondered if there's any electricians on here based in Canada or have been in recent times ( last 5 years), Looking for a few tips.

Quirky... It's been somewhere i've always wanted to live as i've been there a few times when I was younger with family... Now i feel the time may be approaching so I have some questions to ask

Not somewhere i'd ever contemplate living and working!! Not with winter temperatures dropping to -40C in many places... lol!!

That's true with regards to winter, however they do get 30+ in the summer and the clothing you can buy there more than compensates for the winter weather...

I have some friends who live a few hours north of Edmonton near Fort McMurray, and in winter they say survival comes first, everything else is a very, very distant second. So cold you get frostbite in your fingers in under a minute. Forget yellow snow, just p**s your pants, no way would I get mine out in those temperatures.
