1. Can you take the time, to explain how electricity works.

2. the path electricity takes?

3. what is needed for electricity to work?

4. how and why we get electricuted,

5. different types of electricution

6. whats the purpose of the live, Neutrel, and earth conductors

7. how we only get a 55v shock off a transformer

thanks for covering the basics

This would take some time to explain properly and my advice would be to consult either Brian Scaddan or Trevor Linsley books (basic electrical installation) as all the answers are there. Don't know if this defeats the object or helps you?

1. Can you take the time, to explain how electricity works.

2. the path electricity takes? The one of least resistance

3. what is needed for electricity to work? A complete circuit

4. how and why we get electricuted, Ignorance, stupidity and lazyness

5. different types of electricution Fatal and non-fatal

6. whats the purpose of the live, Neutrel, and earth conductors to supply, to complete the circuit and to protect.

7. how we only get a 55v shock off a transformer - Do we? Never had one.

thanks for covering the basics

In simple terms, to someone who has absolutely no knowlege of electricity.

could do all of them, but i'll give you the transfomer one - the transformer is a step down from 230 to 110V, 110V would be emeasured between the live outputs of the secondary. Normally one of the outputs would be earthed, at 0V making the other one 110V. However the use a centre tapped earth (CTE) so the 0V is quite literally in the middle of the seconary winding. So if you touched of the live conductors and earth you will only have 55V accross you, this would be 110V if you touched both live conductors.

Small 1 phase generators ( up to 10KVa) often use the same principle (a floating power supply) where they dont strap the generator neutral to earth. Between live and condcutors and earth there is then 115V, with 230V exisitng between live nductors

And there ends the lesson!
