Been looking at these, they look like a great bit of kit.

Does anybody that has one think it is worth getting the TOP package with all the accessories, or are most of them not that useful for sparks? was gonna order the TOP, but just realised there may be no point if i wont use half of the stuff it comes with

Brilliant tool, use it at least three four times a week for jobs that i could never have thought possible. I got the top set too, I have used every single accessory so far some you think you will never use but you do in the end for the strangest things :D. I would personally say its worth the bit extra.

I was nearly going to buy one but the salesman told me to wait as bosch was bringing one out,and being a bosch fan I waited.Wish I had'nt now ,the bosch one isn't a patch on the fein, well worth the extra money.Just waiting for the bosch to give up;).

Went around the elex show with my M8s they were all thinking of buying the Fein, then they saw the Bosch stand and there cutter, the price instantly swayed them told them not too, they went ahead, needless to say they all have Feins now.:)

Brilliant tool well worth getting top package believe me you will use it.

Ditto, I love mine and use it loads for things you wouldnt expect.....only downside is the price of the blades!

Buy one, you wont regret it!

I bought one a while ago and although I don't seem to use it too much, it certainly paid for itself within the first couple of months.

Pennywise, what kind of stuff do you use it for?

I used to use it a lot for making plunge cuts when removing floorboards before I got a cordless Makita circular.

I've used it for cutting boxes in wooden walls, trimming door architrave when a socket or switch has been fitted too close and the new plates are wider than the last.

I use it for PVC trunking, architrave's, cutting plasterboard fast fix holes, de grouting around sockets in kitchens, chasing into thick plasterboard thats been daubed and dabbed, cutting out backs of kitchen cabinets for fast fix boxes, if there solid carcasses like oak. Used it last week to cut the side of a existing kitchen cabinet out to mount a CU on the wall. The list is endless and pretty much all the things you use it for :) Oh forgot floorboards and laminate.

Bl**dy hell I need to use mine more, still tearing walls to bits with my old Stanley padsaw for mounting fasterfix, when you make chases with it on daubed and dabbed walls, how much dust does it make?

Not much and it doesn't get spread around usually just falls straight down below where you are chasing,I use the gold crescent shaped grout removal blade for chasing, works just as well on plasterboard as it does on grout even thermolite:D. I only use the fein for chasing when its a small amount and can't be bothered to bring in the chasing tool. For fast fix cutting I use the bi metal crescent blade.

Cool, will give it a go.

I keep toying with buying a decent wall chaser but just too much dust.

Don't get much from my chasing tool, with the vac only get the slightest amount of dust Hilti stuff is really well designed though, It weighs to much :D

i used the bosch 'green' one the other day on a borrow from a plumber mate. needed to trim the CCU mounting board down to fit a new cabinet around it and wasnt in a position to remove the CCU. TBH, it thought the Bosch one was a brill piece of kit, but everyone i have spoken too loves and prefers the Fein Version..........

Guess what im buying next!!! ;)

This is definitely next on the list for me. Though probably will have to wait for the next female cycle reset, if you catch my drift. Mood is currently 'volatile' in the Rocker household.

Hey chap.
I bought this Erbauer chaser from Screwfix Erbauer ERB125Y 125mm Wall Chaser - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys and use the pro version of the Henry vacuum cleaner Numatic NRV200 - 22 Vacuum Cleaner 1200W - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys (which plugs straight into it) and no word of a lie you almost don't get a dot of dust come out. I forgot to turn the Henry on once before I started chasing and within a second you couldnt see a blooming thing in the room! :D

The Erbauer is dirt cheap compared to some of the others and really does work a treat. Even in rotten old plaster and lathe it makes great clean lines. Only niggle I have with it is that you have to take it apart to put it away in its box, but its not like it takes long :D
