Or connected to anything how d’you read it if it’s facing away from you when your testingNo way would I want that on my wrist whilst connected to AC
I think the knock offs are already out there. If Fluke are outsourcing the manufacture of their test equipment to China, how long before they become cheap knock offs? No disrespect to Chinese industries, I'm sure that many are making good, reliable products but there is a history of Chinese third party knock offs
They're already thereIt’s like Japan was after the world war. They collected all the drink cans the Americans left behind and made cheap (and nasty) things out of the tin.
Then they bought the obsolete Austin factory line and made their first car, except for the bodywork and sold it as the Datsun Bluebird. Now known as the Nissan factory they are world leaders in manufacturing.
So maybe China will get there one day.
I have three old Megger testers and a clamp meter . They are made in China.Fluke have been manufacturing in china for many years now haven't they?
What I asked was how long before the history of Third party cheap knockoffs was repeated with fluke equipment. The first party is fluke, second party their authorised Chinese manufacturer, third party are the cheap knockoff makers.
Do you mean fluke knockoffs as such or “historically "?How can we know how long it was? It all happened years ago, the knockoffs have been around for ages.
How can we tell if they are genuine if they’re “dead ringers."?I think the knock offs are already out there.
Seen some Volt sticks that are dead ringers for Flukes.
Yeah I'm thinking soWas that watch released on the 1st of April by any chance?

That's a genuine fluke destined for the Chinese market.
lol. They even tried to ban a shipment of bananas being imported to the US because they were yellow.
