Fluorescent to LED conversion tombstone removal

I have about 30 4 bulb 4ft shop lights that I want to convert from fluorescent to LED. I need to swap the tombstones from shunted to unshunted on one side to do this. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to remove the metal tab that the tombstones anchor in to. There are no tabs on it to use a screwdriver. Outside of drilling my own tabs into it is there something I’m missing? Thanks in advance

I suspect that fitting is pretty maintenance free aside from the control gear cover. Can you show a pic with the tubes removed.

Maybe drill rivets out? Seems a bit extreme though.

Shunted tombstones have physically connected contacts within you can't alter them remotely.

Collab take the bulbs out then take your hand pinch both sides and it should come right off. Turn power off

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to give it a shot tomorrow when I have a chance to power everything down

I tried prying at both ends to bend it out from behind the notches, but was unsuccessful. Here are some better pictures with the bulbs and ballast cover off.

I would say they do unclip might need a bit of brute force.

Does the piece on top of the ends are what your trying to take off

Yeah. It seems to just have tabs going into the top and a small tab keeping in connected at the bottom. It is in there real good

You keep trying it will come out just squeeze real hard and it should come out of the slots
