Hi Guys, I fitted a couple of these the other day:

http://www.NoLinkingToThis/p/lap-t8-high-frequency-weatherproof-batten-2-x-58w-5ft-1565mm/60410

I've used these before, and always been fine.

however all the tubes seem to flicker badly at just the ends.

im thinking this could be a symptom of cheap or bad batch of tubes, rather than the ballast etc?

obviously I could take them back, but if new tubes solve this, that would be better.

So do you guys agree this could be the tubes rather than the ballast's etc?

cheers,
Matt

This happened to me once tested everything and it was fine, then it turned out to be just one of the tubes was faulty which made them both not work for some reason, Most likely tubes mate

Did you give them a few minutes to settle down ? I find that some brand new tubes start of with a slight flicker and dim in the middle when energised for the first time , although this soon settles down normally.
