16mm will comply as long as your KMF is within 3m and fused accordingly.
 
yeah, but i was thinking that he may be using 16mm SWA to the garage/shed.
 
personally I wouldn't put an mcb in the adaptable box for two reasons. First one is that you won't achieve full discrimination in the event of a fault and in this case a fuse would be better. Secondly, if the mcb trips who's going to know that there's an mcb in there? I suppose you could label it up etc. Just my thoughts.
