These small 'site' type generators scare me. It should be law that the manufacturers supply a full wiring schematic diagram (both in the user manual and on the genny itself) of the windings, the internal bonding and AVR arrangement. They can be lethal if they're not connected and earthed correctly and some of them aren't suitable for anything but portable power tools and lights.
