Hey guys. I appreciate any guidance you can offer. I'm selling my house and it got inspected today, and I have 2 questions if you can help me out. First, the inspector indicated I need to install GFCI outlets in my kitchen and bathroom. My house is a 1955 brick rancher. I'm nearly positive I read that homes built prior to 1971 are not required to have GFCI outlets unless the wiring was being upgraded, which mine is not. Am I wrong about that?
Second, he failed the single breaker box under my main because it's a fed pac stab lock. I understand they're dangerous. My question is what is the virtue of having a single breaker box? It's a 20 amp circuit, and my Square D main panel has plenty of room. Why would it be mounted separately in its own box (see pic). I appreciate any input guys.
