Has Anybody Here Received a Letter From The National Grid?

Saying that they are not now called the National Grid, and the National Grid will now be called Western something or other

Somebody in the family gave it to me and said, 'hey, look at this' I took a glance at it and slung it back on the table saying, 'it's just a bill'

But they were adamant for me to read it..

Has anybody else received this letter, the lady who received it was 84 years old and suddenly seems to be worried about power cuts!

Western Power Distribution was acquired by National Grid last year, so maybe the name change was the other way round?

They will have written to all Western Power Customers.

I'm going to try and scan this letter and highlight some parts if it.

But it reads...

Dear Mrs ******

In Bold
We have received a request to join blah blah blah with MPAN number **************************

Then under that and exactly as copied from letter

Western Power Distribution is now known as National Grid.


Then it goes on for nearly 2 pages, about stuff that some people would find alarming, especially an 84 year old who can't get her weekly fix of Coronation Street.

I think we got a letter last year about the changes.
It was better when it was the EMEB
