Has fuse box been left safe

Apparently half the downstairs works were on the left of the fuse box and half on the right sparky replace one of the fuses ( allegedly as I wasn’t in ) and decided not to use any of the left switches. everything is now powered from the right switches but he didn’t bother to relabel what’s what , so if in the future anything trips out I won’t be able to identify what’s what to eliminate? Is this corrrct or safe ? I’ve no idea where the shower or upstairs light or downstairs sockets are wired ? There were not 3 spare on the right ?

It's an older MCG consumer unit and these are hard to get parts for.

These dual RCD units are problematic as one fault plunges half the home off

I would suggest a new RCBO consumer unit. This means a fault will trip only one device

I would also suggest Hager as the spare parts are easier to get

Why has this been done? It's OK as a short term measure before a new CU is fitted.
