Just been looking on Maplins and see they are doing a system called Lightwave RF anyone used it or had any experience with it? It looks simple with a main box plugging into the router and swapping out different accessories that you want to control.

Anyone know of any other system like this thats simple to use and cost effective? Just looking at it to play around at home as in the next 12 months I'm looking at building a new house so things could get interesting

Have had this on test for nearly 12 months and works well.

We don't buy from Maplins and I think you will find cheaper suppliers:yes:.

It works, but it is budget stuff. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. It isn't as fancy as they like to make out.

If you want to do a couple of funky tricks with your lights and heating, it works, but don't buy into it thinking that you will be able to fully automate your home, because you won't.

I have used it a lot over the last 6 months but have had a number of the 500w relay give up me.

Just done a house which had an AV system we pulled all cables/boxed/capped then they connected for all their control aspects they used control 4 system worked quite well
