This is wrong on so many levels.Totally ignoring the actual plug top abomination,the earths on the socket have been linked between each other? Why for gods sake?.The earth from the rcd looks like it has been taken off the neutral side of the rcd?
So now i can throw away my £600 MFT as I dont need it any more with his home made tester? Who knew?

Might be one of those crap sockets where there is no internal link between the earth of each socket.
