Hello,

I'm swapping my extractor fan in the UK and I have bought a Turkish extractor fan stupidly and the connections you can see in the picture are different. I know which wires are switch live and perm live. I assume I need to isolate the perm live and attach the neutral and switch live into the connection white box but not sure which wire goes in which? Does it matter? Also if insulation tape the perm live will this be okay? Any help I will appreciate

I think you are going to need an electrician because it looks like someone has used the bare earth (has been sleeved black) as a live conductor, this could lead to a dangerous situation.
