Hi ya abs-sparks,

Bs7671 and 16th edition are of the same thing, if you are doing an electrician course at the moment the instructor should have explained this to you. Companies do take on apprentices who are currently doing their C&G 2330,2360 and so on and so forth but it is unlikely you will get offered a job while you are in training, the 16th edition should be obtained when you have completed the 236 courses, which by the way will be 17th edition as from next year. if you wish to complete the 16th edition (17th) course then normally you will have to have completed an electrical course of some kind first to have the working knowledge to go on to the 17th edition course. 16-17th courses can be found all over the place and range from £120 a day to £600 for a week course, just plug 16th edition IEE regs into your search engine and you will get an abundance of places that offer the course.
