Yes. BS1362 plug which has to be removed to put on the unfused 5A plug. Therefore quite likely a .5mm cable being protected by a 10A ocpd

Are you missing something, do you seriously believe the cable is going to be subject to overcurrent conditions.

Hi Westie - Overload current agreed no prob. But perhaps manufacturer's cable not sized to trip mcb under all fault currents, which may be why they put 3A fuse ?

Using the adiabatic eqn and Wylex i2t data sheet for their 10A B type I get 0.5mm is good for about 1200A of fault current. This calc has a 12:12 warranty - 12minutes or 12reads :)

Yes is possible but the manufacturer has to fit a plug and for this country it is going to be a 13A plug. OP you could try the 5A plug from MK part no. 643WHI which comes with a 5A fuse but you could probably change it for a 3A. I would guess it is a BS646 fuse.

Now I like that - not seen them before. There's your answer then OP.

No mate they only have 1 light and that's usually on the roof, and takes more than 5Amps

You might be surprised there Pete.
