Independent fan and isolator wiring

Hi guys,

I'm an apprentice electrician and have been doing some basic work on my bathroom with what I've picked up on site.

I've split the mains supply (1.5 2-core) in a junction box and have fed the light pull cord, the mirror-light and the fan isolator pull cord.

I want to power my timer fan independently WITHOUT the lighting being linked.

Am I right to assume I need to link the L + SL at the fan pull cord so that when it is switched it will turn the fan on?

You would only need one line from the isolator. Just wire the fan like a light but with the link.

Or you could just use a fan which doesn't have a timer in it.

I did have one originally but it was louder and not as powerful as the new one with a timer, which was £36 on amazon - Blauberg E-100T
