Is it possible to install a double socket on a chimney breast that has an active wood burner at the bottom?

Looking to mount a TV above the fireplace. The fireplace has a mantle that should protect the TV from heat.

Is it possible to cut out (chase??) the wall and run electrical cable up to the point where the socket is installed then fill it out and redecorate? Would this be protected from any heat coming from inside the chimney?

Apologies for my ignorance, not an electrician and not needed to do this before.

Thanks

I have not done this myself. I would try to locate the TV elsewhere if possible. I have some thoughts on the subject, that I hope are of use...
A coupled of thoughts on the electrical installation point of view...
How warm/hot does the brickwork get in the location of the proposed wiring, should the wiring installed in the chimney be thicker due to the higher temperature? The spec for the cable insulation/sheathing would need to be taken into account.
Is the temperature of the brickwork within the acceptable range for the socket (manufacturers spec for socket)?
From the point of view of the TV...
Does the chimney breast get warm/hot in the area where the TV will be sited? Radiant heat from the brickwork may be something the TV is not designed to cope with.
