Hi guys, I sat a mock exam last week for the written 614 Inspection & testing (C&G L3). All was ok, but there was a question to state the minimum IP code for the front cover of a socket outlet. I'm not sure if this is something obvious or a trick question, but I can't find anything in the text book or online for this, asked some of the boys at work and they don't know either.

There was also a question for the minimum IP code relevant to the top of a distribution board, which I believe to be IP4X, but the socket outlet one is bugging me. Regardless if its in the real exam or not, I just want to know! Any ideas?

I expect it will be the same as any front accessible electrical accessory IP2X or IPXXB. Although, for certain installations there might be extra conditions to protect young children.
