Hi, my friends got a spa bath and wants it wired in. I was thinking of running some 10mm t&e under the bath into a ip65 junction box, then into the pump underneath. I can't find anything in the regs or part p which says anything about this so could to with some advice. Also would need some type of gland for the 10mm t&e going into the box? Any help would be great.thanks

Christ thats a big Load, can the house Dist Board cope with it lol

Hi, thanks for all the replies. I was going to use 10mm as he is thinkingof having a power shower also. I guess ill stick with the ip65 box underneath the bath then. Does anyone know any links for supplies of 10mm t&e glands?

So is sharing these two items a good idea? RCD protection? Bonding? Part P notification?

10mm for the bath and 10mm for the shower. Seperate circuits. This is a jacuzzi bath. Is also in rcd with new db board
How can it be seperate circuits, you said the cable was 10mm2 in size due to the fact your mate may be having a shower as well, so is it seperate or not? if seperate how big is the supply for the bath ? must be a big boy.

I've got a large(ish) jacuzzi bubble and water recirc type bath with lights.
It's run fine for over 8 years on a 2.5mil spur off the kitchen RFC, without tripping the MCB once.

If i get a 10mm drum then i can suply to the shower and jazuzzi bath. The jacuzzi bath needing a junction box underneath as it feeds to a heater and pump. Not quite sure what you dont understand

We're simply not sure you know what you are doing, how to calculate the load, install to BS7671 or comply with Part P - that's all.

Don't waste your money, most power showers only need a 13 amp spur to supply them as they draw water from a combi boiler and you are only feeding a 3 amp at most pump, and most jacuzzi baths run on a 32 amp supply max and thats the big boys which usually sit in the garden.

What Wattage are the various bits and pieces you're planning on connecting rated at?
Might be a good place to start! :-)
