Hi,

I am looking for some sort of price sheet for when i price up some work.
I am maybe looking for a excel spreadsheet if anyone can lend a hand.

Thanks

i'm too thick with computers to make one.think he term is computer illegitimate. what a barsteward.

I understand, but i was just looking what guys price and use as a rough idea?
I guess you could figure out standard fittings that you offer and price accordingly by amount.

So you could do 'LED Downlight X Brand' and then a column 'Quantity' and then add them up automatically in the total section depending on what you charge. Repeat for all fittings/services and if your customer wants flashier stuff etc you just add on accordingly.

What guys price will vary wildly depending on what people's target market is, their skill/experience level and where they work in the country.

I used to keep a very basic spread sheet list of what the every day items I use and their price but in reality it was quicker to grad the screwfix book and scruff of paper and just work it out for each job..

Spread sheet quoting really only works if you are using loads of the same gear and doing loads on the same work like new flats etc

Price per hour plus materials. Charged less per hour when I’d just started out as I knew I took longer due do inexperience and too much pondering ?. Not that I’m much better now ?

I tried the spreadsheet system for general jobs but found with prices always changing it was a pain to constantly update. Equally different suppliers charge different prices etc...
I do have one for ev charger installs and i can get a quote done in minutes.
I am not the cheapest by far but i get 95+ % of all the ones i quote
