Social housing. Tenant has been there 30 odd years. Our electrics were inside the house not in any of the pics obviously. I do the periodics and if any tenants add their own work and connect into our electrics without permission, done by us or a registered spark then it gets pulled out.

hang. On a minute and the land lord told you to disconnect it ,so he must have had the house before he put a tenent in knowing the electrics were dodgy
and he wants you to sort it out .

No. Again re read the posts i put if i go in and there is their own electrics its just what i have to do in terms of ripping it out.

No thats all his. He had spurred off the back of a socket in the house taken the cable and very poorly gaffa taped it to a plasric roof through the brick wall where you see that abomination

Judging by the age of the older wiring and socket then, the last EICR by the landlord must have been about 30 years ago

Last test was done 10 years ago when th3 house was re wired by an outside contractor. They'd have had no reason to go out into the garage or even report on his electrics outside

I had this recently where I've turned up to a relations house and said how I would like to do a job they wanted doing but couldn't do it in time scale they wanted. So got told that another relative on other side will do it. So asked if he was an electrician i got told he was great and made missiles so knows what he is doing and he did his own house. Was it tested? Don't know
