Hi so any ideas on din mounted MID rated single phase kwh meter? I am required to fit a meter for sockets in a unit. At the moment the sockets are fed from a 32a mcb in a wylex plastic D.B. older type. See photo. All suggestions treated in confidence and will be touted as my own brilliant idea, just kidding you will get full credit and all royalties.

Yeh that is the plan. I was thinking I would need something that would fit in the wylex box. And not sure if any single module would fit.

you've not got a proper din rail for it to grip in a wylex board as the mcb's rely on the busbar to hold them down onto the top lip of the din rail, so a normal din mounted solution isn't going to work :(

OH oh, maybe I'll get a separate din mount box and supply that if necessary. Shouldn't be too much of a probs. just a bit of a fiddle.

Think it may be 12mm for single phase din module from what I have read on the data sheets where available.
Oh yeh and thinking about it I could just buy some din rail and replace the rail in there.

it will fit and clip on the din rail in the Wylex board. I've fitted loads on PV jobs.

On new builds we used an isolator similar to this and a single module KWH meter.

I think @suffolkspark has a point, if you look at the piccy you will see it is not a proper din rail it only has the top half for the mcb/module to hang from and the bus bar is holding the bottom part. I think you should be able to see it. But as stated I could just put a proper din rail in there.

I can't see it...maybe I'm getting confused then and the boards wasn't wylex  How does the main switch and RCD's clip on?
