You can only have a neutral of reduced csa if your line conductors are of a minimum csa of 16.0, copper conductor.
👍 I won't be running 16mm for ufh 😂
Good reference for future thanks

Interesting, I haven't really looked at it since I encountered 3 1/2 core SWA used for TPN quite a few years ago.

Can you still get 3 1/2 core SWA?
Never heard of it.

I thought I was getting old 😁, never heard of that though.

Is this a three core with a half sized neutral.

Never heard of it.

I've only seen it a couple of times, most recent was the local football stadium where they've got it feeding the four floodlight columns. 3x25mm (RYB) phases feeding 400V ballasts and a 16mm (I think) black core used as CPC.

Never seen that looks like AWA.

Learn something new everyday but they look to the eye like sectorial aluminium with AWA in fact I'm convinced it is AWA.

I know what you mean, but that was the second time I encountered this stuff. The first time I was a little perplexed and had to make a few phone calls.

In my vast experience of terminating just one sectoral Al armoured cable the armour was of a more rectangular section and not round like it is in SWA.

To my eye but you have physically seen it the outer face of the strands in the pic look flat which to me says it is not steel. Nevertheless I have never seen that before.
