Hello, I installed an led bedroom ceiling light and it worked ok for several weeks until i changed a bulb and now all the lights in the house don't work, and also the cooker doesn't turn on. None of the fuses have been tripped in the main fuse box. The other plug sockets in the house are working ok.
Any ideas guys? I didn't think the cooker would have anything to do with the lights as it has a separate fuse switch. Any help is very much appreciated as im not in a good place financially so i will have to try and fix it myself. Thank you very much.

You may have disturbed the/a cables when you changed the bulb, check this first, or the wrong bulb has been installed, take it out and try again.

If you have an RCD protected board, some of these trip but do not reset until physically turned off and back on.

Hello mate, thanks so much for your reply. I put the bulbs back to the originals (bright white). I also checked the fitting and one of the wires was out. I put the wire back in and reset the trips several times but there is still no power going to the lights or the cooker. Any idea why a light problem is knocking the cooker out?

Probably because it tripped the RCD on the same circuit, as I said check the RCD is actually on, by pulling the switch down and putting it up again, the RCD is a double width unit usually at the end of a row of MCB's which is what you are checking, check the RCD it has a push button on it.
