Hi.
A customer would like an outdoor light fitted with no cables showing (usual thing!)
Close to the location of the light is an extractor fan in the kitchen dinner. At first I thought great! I can come off the supply side of the isolator, boarded walls, fish some cables in job done.
But when I looked closer the fan is fed off the kitchen RFC. It has a control switch Before the isolator, it is in a grid switch unit and is fused down to 5 amps.
Its not ideal to have the control switch in line if the customer turns this off obviously no outside light. But it’s the only way I can do it without conduit outside or chasing walls Inside (it’s a brand new house).
Any regulation to stop me from doing this?
Your help is much appreciated. Thanks
