Line products connectors

Hi All, I dont think That "Farrel" is a crook, but i do agree with the previous comments he could of communicated with his customers! They are an excellent product. He has obviously been let down by suppliers/manufacturers and may be need to look for other manufacturers, this has put me off getting used to one product!
 
If he is having problems with the manufacturer then he should communicate rather than ignoring people. He ignored me for 2 months both e mail and telephone messages left on answer machine, and believe me he had plenty of messages he could have acknowledged. Instead of taking my money and ignoring me until he left me with no option, then the courts got in touch with him and how strange he found out how to email!!! If he had sent me an email or answered the phone to me he would never have found himself in the position he did, he obviously thought I would go away!
 
I had a problem with them, in the end I got a refund via 'Nochex' there was really no need for the lack of communication, it just makes matters worse and creates ill feeling. I just hope someone can come up with a replacement for the 'black egg' enclosure as i much prefer them to the 'Wago',
Maybe Wago could source and supply them , just a thought.

I ran out too but did not want to order due to reports on here. Using crappy wago boxes for the foreseeable.

I'm not holding out much hope TBH.

I've a few left and after that I'll be looking for an alternative.
 
Has Line Products gone under??

I love the Line enclosures, quick and easy to use with none of the hassle of trying to close a Wago box with more than a couple of 1mm cables inside. They also comfortably fit up through downlight holes.
I've tried to buy on line - Sold Out -, emailed them and phoned with no response.
It's a sad day if they have gone, but can't get a definitive answer.
Anyone know what's going on with them?

I'm not sure whether Line Products are still supplying. It would be a great shame if they're not because a lot of the regulars on the forum had nothing but good things to say about their products.

I've merged your thread into the existing one about the same subject to keep all the news in one place which will assist others also searching for info about them.
 
I tried to order a couple of weeks ago but the system wouldn't let me.. Sent an email requesting clarification but no reply. Assume they've gone bust Which is a shame as the black eggs were very good. Only have one left now..maybe I'll keep it as a museum piece?
 
What are folks using in place of the 'line' enclosure? I'm about to run out but can't see anything comparable. Wago? Bit clunky...
 
and you can use brown rawlplugs as screwits for the L's.

Depends how old the install is - I think he was referring to the fact it wasn't labled as a N and could have been mistaken for an old phase colour :shocked3:
 
Just checked on line website and the enclosures are back in next week will wait and see but just order aload of wago boxes myself so will see if anyone on here buys any to see what the service is like
 
Did you order a wide range of products or was it just one or two items? As you've probably noticed by this thread you're the first person in a long time who actually got their order which was a shame because their products were novel and popular which a good number of the forum members.

Ordered 100 k97 enclosures on Wednesday, received today by express parcel delivery.
 
Hmmm , 2 new members pop up at the same time both extolling the virtues of a renewed line products service with their 1 post each ?
Now call me cynical if you like but I think that may be a bit of stealth promotion.

I would be more impressed if the company owner used their account on this forum to pop up and apologise to all the people that got let down.

I'm not a new member...but hey, you're entitled to your cynicism as their track record ain't great...
 
Thanks for the info guys, hopefully anyone else who gets their orders will confirm on this thread as well.

I can't see any reason to suspect shill activity Andy and I'm usually pretty good at picking them out. Neither member is new as such.
 
This is great news, the 'hand grenades' as I call them are great enclosures, Wago boxes are not as good. I am a bit wary of ordering though.

Also the connectors they sell are slightly cheaper than screwfix. Screwfix sell some by made by ideal but they look and feel the same as the lines own brand connectors

No worries, I'm just a suspicious beggar sometimes :)
Don't get me wrong, I would love them to be active again. I have been getting very fed up of wagoboxes lately and would love their enclosures back in my stock.

Yep, as far as I remember, Line products connectors are Ideal brand.
 
These arrived today, fairly pleased, they look like the real deal. (connectors to follow separately for some reason)
Just hope they stay available for a while. Glad they are back I have missed using them.

At the risk of Andy78 thinking I work for Ideal Products this time their new clear/blue lever connectors are a good product. Great for connecting stranded to solid lighting cable when using the Line enclosures and much neater than the grey/orange Wago ones.
