Discuss Line products connectors in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

As far as I can tell these were invented and designed by an electrician who then set up the business to sell them and it appears that the business did not go well, as so many do, and has now folded. I assume from the way in which things operated that the owner had been let down by their distributor when they were expanding and also that the process of production had problems that then caused the business to stop. Presumably after a recovery period the remaining stock were then sold off and once these were gone, that was it.

I never got the chance to try them but by all the accounts I saw from others the product was well designed well made and filled a niche requirement. I never saw any complaints about the product, the price, the quality or even the service until what I assume were the business problems manifesting themselves in lack of available supply. Farrel also seemed to have damn good prices on his Wago connectors as well. I agree it's a shame they're not being made any more, I can only wish him every success in whatever his new endeavours are.

I remember speaking to the man who designed the earth nut as we had been pulled up by the NICEIC for the making off of swa into IP adaptable boxes where we were nut bolt banjo etc., came across them on internet I suggested to him to contact P.E. magazine to maybe do write up good idea he said .Product was picked up be SWA terminations and the rest is history.

It's been a year since anyone posted in this thread. I assume the line MF boxes came to a final end?

Ah man that's crappy news. I'm still hanging on to my last boxful of the line enclosures, but they are dwindling fast.
Farrel emailed me in March saying he was in talks with a large manufacturer/distributor. Sad this didn't come off.
