Imagine please a long extension cable with an electric mower at one end and a circuit breaker plugged into a wall socket in an inaccessible place at the other.
It is not unusual for me to inadvertently unknowingly put pressure on the system such that the plug or the circuit breaker no longer connects. This leads to an unnecessary series of checks to see where (else) the problem (blown fuse?) might be.
Has anyone come up with a simple "cable clamp", screw-in wall mounted, that I could feed the cable through such that the circuit breaker or plug is protected from accidental pulls?

You could attach a simple cable clip on the flex below the socket, attached to the wall…. But that won’t stop you pulling on the flex while mowing.

It’s actually better that the plug comes out, disconnecting the supply and notifying you of a problem, rather than the flex becoming damaged as you pull against the clip….. still live.

Longer extension lead, or smaller garden.

Thanks. I think that in the circs the extension lead is plenty long enough and the problem has more to do with dislodging the circuit breaker and plug in their location. I have had a quick google for cable clips and clamps and of course there is a huge range of options. Some look more viable than others

Couple of suitable sized p-clips maybe.

What I think I'm looking for is what I would call a "cable clamp" - in the sense of a clip that can be screwed into a base but has a quick release "latch" that permits temporary removal of the cable without unscrewing. May be there is a technical term for this?
