hi all thanks reading my post

i have just changed a Cu and intend on using the job for my elecsa inspection i have up-graded the meter tails from 16mm to 25mm ,the earth conductor ( TN-S ) looks like 6mm and needs to be upgraded to 16mm ,but who should be up grading the earth conductor?? is this down to the dno?? or should i just upgrade from the cu met to the met outside the cu ??

If the mec is terminated to the incommer lead/sheath I tend to cut it to a short length & terminate into a met/block (with a 951 label fixed to it) that I fix to the meter backboard. From this met I run 16mm to the cu.
Then advise the customer (backed up with a letter sent with certs) that they need to contact dno to upgrade the mec.

thanks easyfox ,as i thought but just needed someone elses opinion which is what i love about this site

Probably wont upgrade as they will claim that it is sized by calculation. If you use the adiabatic equation to check you will probably find that the 6mm is ok, but best to use EasyFox's installation method.

yeah it is appropriate but when your viewing threads you know who people are by there avatar (i do anyway!) Easy's easy going but dont know if you might be better finding sommat a little bit different? lol

how bout this
