Just bought a second hand megger 1552, cannot get any insulation resistance readings, display showing flashing warning sign which according to the user guide indicates the lock is on, how do you turn it off. I cannot find anything in the manual to say how to turn it off. Any help appreciated.

the red button behind the big yellow rwst button, try this you may have to press hard. Also worth considering changing the batteries as I have just bought a 1502 and put it on a test meter today and the Ohm was failing on the test, the guy in the college suggested changing the batteries and presto it worked.

thanks for quick reply, tried your suggestions still no readings, gonna ring megger tech staff in the morning, may need repairing.

is the 500ma fuse in the back ok if not get a spare i have popped mine a few times but once i did some internal damadge a blown fuse would stop you getting ins readings.
when you press the button does the disolay start to climb then drop back and it beeps?
