Discuss Metrel - 10 out of 10 in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

2 years ago I sent my MFT to Metrel and paid for the speedy turn round to get it back quickly - and they messed up big time.

Last year I used a local supplier.

This year I decided to let Metrel have it again, as I wanted a firmware upgrade, and they are the only people who can do it!

So I called Metrel, spoke to them, who said they would waive the charge for a speedy payment.

When I called them today, to see where it was, they confirmed it was on a pre 10am, and due to the bad experience 2 years ago they waived ALL the calibration fees, plus gave me a free set of leads.

I'm well happy at this and it just goes to show the benefit of a phone call!!

have you actually recieved the testers back from metrel yet lol ?
could be a 2 month delay and you'll have to edit this thread big time ;-)

Would have been a sad end to the story if the post office then lost it!

I also use Metrel to calibrate my meter. I'm Blackmailed into it to keep the warranty going, but they're not too bad on price, and so far I've had good service.
