Need to get an EVSE adapter for EV Charger Point installs... and thought I'd upgrade my MFT at the same time... tempted by the Metrel MFT and EVSE adapter combo. However, it looks like the A1532 adapter only supports Type 2 cables ? Is there a different adapter that can be used to allow testing of Type 1 cables too ?

Congratulations @Zerax
you are surely the first DIY member who also has the ESTEEMED badge.

good going for a site full of professional electricians.

Not sure on metrel but i bought the megger evse testing adaptor... The uk versions comes with 2 leads so both type 1 and 2 can be tested. You could buy an adaptor online to convert type 1 to type 2... Costs around £50...
That said i cant recall when i last touched a type 1 charger....
