I have never used other MFT than Megger. I know there are other popular MFT, but what does majority of forumist use and why?

Which one will you recommend for newly gone alone domestic electrician?
Regards

I have an ethos 8400 now which I love. Easy to use and wasn't too expensive worth looking into

Had to Google (other searches engines are available) that 'cos I'd never heard of them. There was one on Ebay for 250 quid - a screaming bargain if it does what you need. Even comes in a Fluke-style case, not the the annoying one that my (personally preferred) Megger is condemned to. Aside from the "big two" I think if I didn't have the Megger I'd be tempted by the Kewtec KT65. These all have the same issue for the first time purchaser. It is a lot of beer vouchers and you really want to work with one for a few jobs before parting with a grand-or-more for a new one. Final point, can't comment on the Fluke but the Bluetooth facility on my Megger 1730 is a complete fail. Doesn't connect or work is any way that a £1,000 device should and my 20 quid headphones do.

I'm whinging - I'll bugger off!

Thanks Marti and others. Another guy mentioned di log,
I have seen it used by an electrical YouTuber, but yesterday I saw him using fluke, I suppose they are marketing them.
Thanks again all for all your honest contribution on the topic.
I wish I can be lucky to test before buying..
