the police could see the other side of my finger, they just wanted me dropped off at hospital and to finish their shift from the attitude they displayed, if i dont get a decent answer on the next phonecall i will be visiting the police station in person, harder to fob off a victim bleeding all over the waiting areaAlso go to the Police station report the incident/crime and ask for a crime reference number and give a statement.
Thats odd as they are usually up for some OT unless the rules have changed.the police could see the other side of my finger, they just wanted me dropped off at hospital and to finish their shift from the attitude they displayed, if i dont get a decent answer on the next phonecall i will be visiting the police station in person, harder to fob off a victim bleeding all over the waiting area
Hi, ive been a busy boy today, dog warden, housing association and police all dragging heels, i have rang up my local station and asked for a desk sergeant so things should move swiftly, just sitting raging on the inside, i was such a brave boy today that the surgeons are only giving me local :O cant wait to see my own finger getting essentially spliced back together lol, am i allowed to post pictures? they are a bit goryHope all guys well with your finger, having nearly severed a thumb some years ago, I know how painful that can be. I'm a bit worried about the prognosis due to the time delay?
Some good advice been given, about pursuing some form of prosecution. I would first give to police the opportunity to act, by making contact again (get your injury sorted first), get someone to act on your behalf.
If you do not get suitable response from the police, would echo the advice of contacting local media and MP.
Any pictures of the pinky?
You can post a picture or two but not too gory hopefullyabout 40 pictures if im allowed to post i will?
i agree with you, i dont want the dog punished for the stupid mentality of its owners, i would rather it is rehomed to a suitable owner, ive got nothing against pitbulls, i even owned one myself, but it was muzzled, harnessed and on a short lead unless it was in my garden.Sorry to hear about your run in with the unruly dog, hope your finger injury isn't too bad.
I'm not a fan of condemning dogs by breed, same as I'm not a fan of condemning people according to skin colour, gender or any other generalised trait.
The behaviour of the dog is squarely the fault of the owner and he, not the dog should be held liable.
I should probably declare I own an American pitbull....and funnily enough today is his birthday.
could have been worse but still if the surgeons cant reattach all the mess on the inside then they may have to chop it, id rather have my pinkyPffff it isn't that bad if the finger was in the fridge waiting to be re attached then that would be a drama, especially if it was in your neighbours fridge.
the bonus is the pain is quite dull, it looks worse than it feels, all i felt getting the local was it scratching on the bone, ive got about 8 feet of bandages on it, no wonder they cant afford to pay nursesI was trying to cheer you up with humour ;o))))) and to take your mind off the issue.
I had a local when I had my vasectomy and the surgeon asked if I would like to take a "look" I declined.I got prescribed some Diamorphine when I did my thumb, which was really great man.
Embarrassed myself though, when I went to the hand clinic a week later. Junior surgeon was so chuffed with his handy work, he went off to get his boss. I thought I'd have a butchers, & fainted sat in the chair. Nurse came along, and said 'you looked at it, didn't you, you stupid boy'.

dont think there was any surgeons in last night, their dog is a vicious piece of work, just latched onto my dogs chest/neck area, i was ready to kill this dog this time if it didnt let go in a timely manner, if its him or my boy(my dug) the choice is already made for me.
the hardest part at the moment is trying to keep myself calm, would this fall under duty of care of landlord if they have been reported numerous times and no action taken?
and a lot of dogs should not have people. usually in cases like this, it's not the dog's fault. it's owners that can't undestand dogs' behaviour. But it on the Landlordzone forum and see what they say. If you google Landlordzone you will get the forum. Poor you and your dog and god knows what that poor dog who attacked is going through, it doesnt sound good. He may be being ill treated. Thank goodness you didnt lose your hand. Some people should not have dogs.
very true, my problem isnt with the dog itself, just the idiots in "control" of it, ive requested numerous times to the dog warden that i do not want the dog destroyed, but rehomed/rehab to someone who has trained pitbulls before, i know it can be re-trained, im half tempted to just take their dog off them and give it to a mateand a lot of dogs should not have people. usually in cases like this, it's not the dog's fault. it's owners that can't undestand dogs' behaviour.

im quite selfless when it comes to rescuing dogs lol, done it several times before and made some good little hairy four legged friends out of it, i think they are greatful and remember what i did for them. You may lose more fingers in the process is it worth the risk or don't you like your "mate" ?
