Hi. Just moved into a house and it has a Neff C28MT27N0B combination microwave oven. Apparently it's out of warrentee. The microwave works fine but the oven is oven heating.

I have replaced the thermostat and tested the elements. However, the top element comes on and stays on even when I'm just selecting a programme for just the bottom element.

I don't know why the top element is even coming on let alone why it's stating on?

Any thought?

Thanks.

Matt.

TL;DR
the top element comes on and stays on even when I'm just selecting a programme for just the bottom element
It's got a touch control panel, so possibly contamination on that panel, or an electronics issue with it.
You haven't inadvertently set it to a programme that's supposed to do that?
