Discuss New ‘ECS Check’ service launched by the JIB in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

There's money on the horizon. No doubt those who sign up for the free registration now will need a course to update to the 18th next year.

“The JIB wants to recognise ECS Electricians who are qualified to the current edition of BS7671 and are prepared to adopt the Code of Professional Practice,” said Steve Brawley, JIB Chief Executive. “We will be working to provide access to affordable training in the 18th edition of BS7671 for our card holders when this edition is published next year and we will encourage as many as possible to secure this qualification and become Registered Electricians.”

It is only be as good as the person the other end inspecting the operatives card ie site manager, employers and understanding the information of what the operative is qualified to undertake.
