New Electricians Toolbox- Updated!

Please list the tools you'd buy if you started out again and I'll grab the lot in a few months and make a new starters toolbox list topic thing somewhere.

We did a similar thing on the tile forum and it's a good topic for new and experienced (never old!) tradesmen to browse through from time to time.

I'm guessing the list would be slightly different to THIS one by the way?!

Some additional ones - apologies if I've included something already mentioned in list.

Cordless circular saw (I prefer to use one for cutting floorboards)
Wire Strippers
General selection of drill / driver bits and SDS bits
Strait Line and Chalk
Laser level (with horizontal and vertical beam projection) - just coz I'm lazy
Cable Rod kit - I couldn't live without this

Also, I know they're expensive but every toolbox should really have a multi function tester for insulation, RCD, loop and continuity.

i think some are missing the point a basic and essesential list is needed ,if you needed that lot then don't forget the LARGE van

seems like most tools has been covered...

the one thing i would add (even if a bit primitive ) is a wire coat hanger!
comes in bloody handy!

:edit: and a loo roll! you never know!

Not sure if this has been said already, but the stress avoided by having a cable reel holder should never be under valued, especially on long cable runs.

set of dogs for conduit
3.5mm tap for those threaded ko box lugs
yellow 77 for pulling singles through conduit
all the rest have been covered OR HAVE THEY LOL........

yeah, yelow 77 is a good one!

Bear in mind it will vary according to you working on domestic or comm/ind. For example, I would say a 20/25mm bending spring is a necessity for comm/ind.
