You have all probably heard this a million times. My sister-in-law has just moved into a new house. She wants some lights changing in the kitchen,i'm not Part P but the bloke i work for is.Can i change the lights without notifying anyone. It's a rented house and the owner has said she can have the fittings changed as long as the person doing it is Part P registered.

i suspect the owner doesnt know what part p is and is just trying to sound smart
changing a light is fine just explain to the owner that you are qualified and swapping a light is not covered by part p or notifiable

Yep I agree basically you are changing lights for lights a straightforward job that not notifialbe even if its in a kitchen
