NICEIC or ELECSA?

Hi all,

I am about to join one of the comeptant members scheme for the first time. What are everyones opinions about either NICEIC or ELECSA and any issues they've encountered with either?

NICEIC is well known compared to others and the council's specifically ask for NICEIC contractors to do their work. That's my understanding.

If you choose to go with elecsa ....then you wont have to notify LABC for your assessment work....once they accept you onto their scheme you can just notify any work you did for the assessment through them so this will save you money....about £180 in my area.......:computer:

On the original post, it all depends on your quals/experience - If you're just starting out Elecsa would probably be best/easiest

I'm going to be looking into this in the new year and will go with Elecsa for the first year then Niceic thereafter, as good as Elecsa are they have nowhere near the public recognition as Niceic

??????????????????????????? Are you saying you cant notify through NIC??

The only thing i would say is that the dealing i have had through a friend (i'm with NAPIT), is that Elecsa is very helpful and a lot cheaper. NIC seems to be up their own **** on occassions - although like Goody said - NIC are a lot better known, although that seems to be changing now!
