Thanks for your advice I did look in the regs but couldn't see anything . You do have a good zs at lights but Your thoughts on rcd not tripping when the neutral being cut

An rcd operates on imbalance of current, not detecting a cut cable, so it will reduce the severity of any electric shock which occurs in exactly the same way.
 
If a new CU is being done (post #1) and EIC done, then there's no place to code C3 (post #2) (?) ... And then reading Reg 543.6.1 "the protective conductor shall be incorporated in the same wiring system as the live conductors or be in their immediate proximity". I wouldn't be happy that spiderweb of L, N, sL and E across a ceiling space fits this reg, perhaps am I wrong?
They should all be within the same ferrous magnetic enclosure.
Allthough, there’s an exception for SWA cables.
