As above, images have the unit with minor wear and tear and shows leads & case.
Does state it requires calibration - would this be worth the price? I've got no intention on going out doing jobs but I figure I'll be using something at College and this gives me time to learn the unit and it's limitations, only hangup is the lack of calibration
I've got a CEF and Screwfix not far from here so could always try there for calibration?
I've got a calcard on the way but just wanting to get opinions first - I'm seeing it as an investment, not an instant money-maker, that would just be plain irresponsible.
It will probably be the best £475 quid you’ve ever spent..
That model is the top spec in the 1700 range.. Good chance you might get it calibrated for free if you speak nicely to certain branch managers... if not 25 to 35 quid to get it calibrated..
Still getting a grands worth of tester for £500..
Couldn't get him down from 475, as you say grand worth of tester for half the price, hoping it pays off.
Tax form? I'm not working yet just needs soft case jobbie and should be good to go (I know you don't need them but let's face it, everyone likes a glorified bum-bag/fanny-pack
A deal after my own heart! Bought my 1730 for 500 quid while at college and it gave me a chance e to learn the settings and screen icons before getting serious. Search and download the manual as that will makes life easier and look for cheap wander lead on ebay. Good call on the Calcard.
