Hi all, quick question re part p....

Been asked to replace shower, install extractor fan, and spur for electric rad.

Customer has asked for a certificate to cover the work.

Firstly, do you need part p to do this and can you self sign an Eic to cover work?

Cheers chaps

Maybe and yes!

There you go 2 different answers.

Where is the fan and where is the spur?

Hi welchy, excuse my ignorance, I thought it was only notifiable if it was a new install??

better read up on the rules are you are way off the mark

That would be new work, the shower replacement wouldn't strictly be notifiable, but you should really still issue a minor works showing the existing circuit is adequate for the new shower

Thanks Murdoch, I am out of touch, my main job is working on trains.

Was going to spur off the ring to supply feed for rad and tap off lighting circuit to install ext fan.

If you need to be part p I won't do it.

In what location are these changes being made?

What about bonding?

What about RCD's?

Murdoch, in a bathroom, supply for shower is from a one way c/u re wirable fuses.

Was going to change this for a rcd shower c/u.

Re bonding the water pipes have been bonded but are being removed so was going to use that.
