anyone ive talked about pat testing , they seem to mention every year needs done but it does say on some items within comercial kitchens every 3 months recorded visual and every 6months inspection and test .

does every year satisfy the book and yourselves
 
Yes it's your decision as the inspector to decide the intervals depending on the use of the assets , for instance a hand held piece of equipment on a building site will require more attention than a printer in an office. Plans are a foot to change the COP to reflect the concerns of industry of the frequency of testing to a more understandable and practical level I believe.
