Printer hire

Does anyone on here rent their office printer? We are thinking of renting an A3 A4 possibly an A0 printer, but we are unsure how much we would be paying, all website want you to log in with contact details before they will give out price and we don't want to be hassled by gobby sales men with their best in the world offers.
Just thought you might be able to give us a ball park figure we should bare in mind

Colour or b/w - inkjet or laser? How many pages? What print quality do you need - photo? What sort of paper do you want to use?

For anything A4 or A3 I can't see that it would make sense to rent as it will be cheaper just to buy one. If you want to rent a bigger format then find a company close to you. For a large print run use a local print shop.

You can buy an A3 colour laser printer for £300.

we picked up a A1 printer for £600 and a colour laser A4 for £800 (multi function), both HP. Wouldnt bother hiring, could pick up a office jet for next to nothing, we've only upgraded to laser but the HP officejet was more than adequate for years. it really does depend on how much you print, the laser now is economical due to the amount we print.
