Hi All,

looking for some advice from anyone that knows about the Quinetic wireless switch.

light currently on a traditional 2 way switch, looking to make it 2 way, but the second switch will be bottom stairs. Cable were run into artic but never used, havent a clue why.

house is an old with lathe and plaster, so don’t want to upset it too much as recently decorated.

question is do Both light switches need to be quinetic wireless or can the receiver be connected, whilst still using the original traditional switch.

electrician not really keen due to running cable. But will do do if can do it with one wireless, he don’t really know bout them hence why I am researching.

appreciate any help or advice.

Two wireless switches will work with one receiver, as a conventional 2way switch circuit.

Lost me a bit mate, are you asking if one switch can be traditional cable fed and one can be wireless??

The receiver requires a neutral. It can be configured as you say with a bit of adroit wiring, but why would you do that it defeats the purpose of the switch? Do you have a neutral at the switch?
