RCD On Trace Heating ?

does trace heating require Rcd protection or not ?
Some systems have them on some don't.

Any thoughts

not unless reg. 522.6.101 and 522.6.102 need to be complied with. ( unless , of course, manufacturers instuctions require RCD to be fitted )

Unless the OP puts this in to some sort of context, how can anyone know.
