Having just paid another 10,000 shillings (a nod to telectrix) to my scam provider, I was thinking about a more concerted way of passing this on to my customers (sorry customers, but I'm doing this for a living). And there's the cost of certification, talking MEIWC & EIC, i.e. time taken to complete, and on-line costs (if using these).

I normally just swallow that cost up in the invoice for the work, but sometimes when the job is quite small, and it's a bit difficult to 'hide' it.

I was thinking of being a bit more upfront, and have a clear cost of certification and some sort of admin charge on my invoice, for these charges.

Wadda do ya think? Will my customers think I've gone completely potty :)

Such items are detailed and charged for in any invoice I issue. Of course I pass the cost on to the customer I am not a charity. It is for the customer the certs and is a valuable item worth more than what is paid for it. I factor the time to issue a cert into the quotation/invoice as part of the whole job.
