A long while ago I made a roof bolt driver from an old 16mm spade bit, grind the pointy tip off and the cutting edges of the bit until flat! Works a treat and it has a 6mm hex shank so will work in the impact driver or 6mm hand driver!

These are the ones we often get:
They have traditional shallow slot head but the serrated flange nuts. They also offer them in hot-dipped galvanised for outdoor stuff:
(in reality the look a lot duller and rougher than the photo there)

Hex nuts are something of a luxury 😂

CEF. I know that’s a swear word on here but my branch is great.

Local branches stock only std roofing bolts from Olympic Fixings.

Roofing bolts now have 10mm serrated nuts with a PZ2 head now don’t they? Not seen old school ones for years.
Nice, only the cheap rubbish version available locally, with horrible square 0.5mm thick nuts. I usually use mushroom head hex screws and serrated nuts now.

Best screwdriver for old style flat head roofers is, of course, someone else’s.

😉
