I see from the building regs, that these type of fittings need to be hard wired, and should not be installed via klick's, or any other plugin system.

Can anybody elaboarte on that?

Indeed

What concerns me as the testing inspector, is whether or not I should be pulling it up? The ceiling type is a metal grid system where you need a 'tool' to remove the tiles where the klicks are sited.

Could I point out that the use of Click roses or Gregs (if you of my generation) is perfectly acceptable for emergency fittings and exit signs (running man) so long as they are not accessible without the use of steps, which are classed as TOOLS..

If the plug in Roses are above a false ceiling then this is perfectly acceptable because under normal circumstance a person could not unplug such a fitting.

Yes for so called 'normal' emergency fittings, and not self contained emergency escape route lighting, which are normalyy sited above exit doors, and change of direction on the escape route.

my apologies if I was not clear before.
